About the Program Board
GWU Program Board, the largest student organization at The George Washington University, began its illustrious history nearly thirty years ago. Its mission: to provide GW students with a diverse and engaging selection of lectures, concerts, films, rallies, fundraisers, festivals, and other events. Program Board is completely run by student volunteers, representing every educational level at GW. It is funded by the University's department of Student and Academic Support Services (SASS) each fiscal year. Program Board is administered by an Executive Board composed of committee chairpersons. Programming Committees plan on-campus events, Support Committees ensure the smooth operation of Program Board, and Administrative Committees coordinate Program Board itself. Program Board needs the support of students to plan, advertise, and attend its events. To join one of the eight programming committees or assist the four support committees, visit our Committees and Chairpeople section. Email or call each committee individually, or visit Program Board on the fourth floor of the Marvin Center in Suite 429. All of the committee chairpersons have office hours during the week, and there is usually someone at the front desk.
