Co-Sponsorship Regulations & Procedures

Every co-sponsorship application is considered individually, and every co-sponsorship is awarded based on demonstrated need. Whether your organization is large or small, whether you frequently receive co-sponsorships or have never applied for one, we will consider your application equally.

However, there are certain things we hope to see in an event we co-sponsor. We will:
1.) only co-sponsor events that are open to the entire student body;
2.) only co-sponsor events that are of no/little cost to the student body;
3.) only co-sponsor events that do not conflict with other PB events.

All Co-sponsorship Applications are reviewed by the PB Executive Board at an upcoming EBoard meeting. Co-sponsorships are approved only after the EBoard has formally voted on the matter. The Executive Board reserves the right to allocate as much or as little as it deems necessary to an event/organization. In all cases, the EBoard attempts to act in the best interest of the student body.

Types of Co-Sponsorships

1.) Monetary: We sometimes award student groups modest monetary co-sponsorships.

2.) Standard Media Package: If an event has a high advertising cost, PB will use its in-house printing equipment and advertising skills to reduce the cost of advertisement. Groups being co-sponsored must provide their own graphics unless otherwise notified. The Standard Media Package includes posters, palm cards, and a feature in the weekly PB Happenings email newsletter. Every co-sponsored event must display the PB logo on its advertisements; go here to download our logo.

3.) Mutual Planning Assistance: If a student group wishes to host an event jointly with Program Board, our specialized Programming Chairs will consult with you about planning a mutual event. A mutually-hosted event will allow a student group to take greater advantage of PB's resources. This type of co-sponsorship must be requested at least 8-10 weeks before the anticipated event date.
