Cultural Affairs
Chair Person: Eric Lyda
Chair Email: culture@gwpb.orgChair Phone: Coming soon!About the Committee: The Cultural Affairs Committee strives to connect the GW student body to various cultural events on campus. The committee focuses on helping other student organizations with their events and ideas, from the Jewish Student Association to the Muslim Student Association, or better yet both! Being a connection for these two groups with their fall event, IFTAR, as well as many other groups helps make GW students aware and CULTURED! An event unique to the Cultural Affairs Committee is the Cultural Block Party, where the committee teams up with other student organizations, primarily the Greek Community, to have a fun-filled day of food, dance, music, and art representing regions and cultures from around the world.
About the Chair: Eric Lyda is a sophomore from Berkeley Springs, West Virginia. He is a political science major and a member of the Club Tennis Team. He’s an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves and bad country music, especially the red-headed sensation. As an EPA for the Program Board last year, he enjoyed being a part of what makes things happen for GW and its students. He looks forward to a fresh new way of running PB and can’t wait for this year’s events already in the making.
